Transformers, The First Live Action Movie

The Transformers live-action movie is the first thing anyone thinks of first. Since 2007, these movies have brought the Transformers franchise to mainstream media. The first movie took a substantial amount of creative liberties and only referenced the original Transformers series in the most basic ways.  It is considered its own separate continuity, so here is all you need to know about this movie:

The Transformers 2007 Live action movie takes place after the destruction of Cybertron in the search for the Cube(live-action variant of the Allspark) which is the life source of all transformers (cybertronians). The Decepticons want to use the cube for evil, while the Autobots want it to revive their home planet. The Decepticons (bad guys) found the all spark on Earth but crashlanded in the artic, leaving them stranded for thousands of years. Meanwhile, all the Autobots(good guys) are scattered all across the galaxy still searching for it. A long time later, the military finds Megatron with the cube and moves them to a secret military base a human called Sam finds some old glasses with the coordinates of the cube. A couple decades earlier, Bumblebee arrived on Earth as a scout searching for the cube, so Sam's car was Bumblebee. A fight ensued against a Decepticon with Bumblebee emerging victorious. After this win, Bumblebee sent out a beacon to summon his Autobot comrades. After rendezvousing, bumblebee gets kidnapped and sent to hoover dam by the military, which is the previously mentioned base. The rogue Decepticons attack the military base and awaken Megatron. During this scuffle, bumblebee takes the cube and runs off with it. a long battle ensues between Optimus Prime and Megatron, with Optimus defeating Megatron using the cube to destroy his spark.

TL,DR, Both Autobots, and Decepticons want the cube, they fight for it, and the Autobots win. Overall, it's a movie with a lot of good action scenes with not-so-great writing. It's a film that you actually love, or hate with a burning passion.

  1. Hello Yolvin! I watched the first Transformers movie a long time ago and didn't remember it very well. However I do remember that it was action packed and that I enjoyed it. This post helped me remember what happened in the movie and has brought my attention to the Transformers movies which I am now planning on watching.
